Supa Bwe: Portage Theater

Supa Bwe continues to surprise us with his latest drop Portage Theater. Well, at this point, we shouldn't be surprised at all from the heat he's been releasing on 'Dead Again 3'. This song seems to sum up his recent feelings, and pretty much feels like 3 songs in one. Supa recently had a concert at the Portage Theater in Chicago and got into an altercation with security there. Not only does this song draw from real life experiences as he spits "Walk inside of Portage with the glock, you can't check me!", but the song starts out with a line from Game of Thrones "Hold the door!" The line is constantly played on throughout the song as he repeats "Hold on, bitch!" quite a few times, also referencing Game of Thrones character Hodor. The first beat sounds like music from an old horror movie mixed with some heavy drums, that surprisingly sounds beautiful as Supa throws out "Hold on bitch!" and "Come get your bitch!" for the majority of this part of the song. After Supa makes the point that no one can check him, the beat switches to a jazzy type deal, complete with horns and a piano and he switches his flow. He even drops a mention to the new Netflix hit 'Stranger Things' in one line. Overall, if this is the direction his new album 'Finally Dead' is headed towards, I'm definitely looking forward to it. Portage Theater is undoubtedly a song I'm gonna bump for a while.
